Question: Name your favorite article and why you like this particular article. You must cite from the article and explain why it is your favorite piece in the magazine. You will need 3 or more sentences in your answer.

My favorite article is “Should You Keep Money You Find?” because this article is the only one with opinions in it. I think that you should keep money but not use it for yourself. I would donate it to a charity or give it to a homeless person. “Keeping money you find doesn't make you a bad person. Of course, if you find a credit card or a wallet, you should return it to the owner.”If I found money, that is what should would do.

My favorite is the article “Remember Maria”. I liked this article because it shows how Puerto Rico was hit by one of the most powerful hurricanes in history. “...the island was ravaged by one of the most powerful hurricanes in history-Hurricane Maria.” Another reason I liked this article because it is showing how much destruction has been done on the island and how many people lost their lives. The last reason that I liked this article is because it is told by a man named Raul (a person who lived through it).My favorite is the article “Remember Maria”. My favorite article is The Rise of the Jellyfish. I like this article because I’ve always had an interest in how jelly fish work. One thing I enjoyed reading about was how many species there are. “There are more than 2,000 different species of jellyfish, and they come in many sizes.” A really odd thing that comes to my mind is vampire because it bites with venom. “When a jellyfish comes in contact with another sea creature, it shoots venom from its stinger into the victim to kill or paralyze it.” This story also explained how jellyfish are hurting more people including the attack in Daytona Beach, Florida. “During two weeks in June, jellyfish stung about 2,000 people in Daytona Beach, Florida.” I loved this article about jellyfish, I hope there is another article going more in debt.

Article: The Rise of the Jellyfish. 9/27/18

In this article we learned about blooms of jellyfish that have been filling our oceans. I like this article as it gets to the point and tells me important information about jellyfish. Jellyfish are appearing all over the world and are killing more fish. In November of last year, I was stung by a jellyfish while swimming in the Pacific Ocean. It hurt and after it was harder than normal to move the leg that got stung. In the article I learn in a single weekend as many as 700 people were stung on a couple beaches just like me. We may have brought this outbreak upon ourselves with overfishing, water pollution, and burning fossil fuels. My favorite quote is “They seem like they come from outer space” says Lucas Brotz. I like this quote because jellyfish are truly like aliens with their mushroom shaped bodies made of almost 95% water.

My favorite article was “The Rise of the Jellyfish”. It was my favorite because jellyfish fascinate me, and this article showed me lots of really interesting things about jellyfish. One of my favorite things this article says about them is that they don’t have blood, brains, or a heart, and that they are made 95% of water. What amazes me about this is that they still manage to live without all of those parts! I also found it amazing that there are over 2,000 species of jellyfish, and that they come in many different sizes. “You can find them ranging from smaller than your pinky finger to almost as big as a car.” I think it is cool to think about those alien-like creatures being so small you can probably hardly see it, but others almost being the size of an adult.

My favorite artical is " The Rise of The Jellyfish" this is my favorite artical because it has so many facts about my favorite animal. My favorite fact is when they stated that a jellyfish "can be smaller then your pinki finger of bigger then a car". I think that it is so interesting that a jellyfish can live with no organs or blood. I looked up a few more facts and a jellyfish can live 500 years or more. This was my favorite artical

My favorite article is Growing Up With Harry Potter. I enjoyed this article because I have loved Harry Potter books since I picked up the first one. The article was about how Chrisanne Grise found her love of Harry Potter in sixth grade. Since then J.K Rowling has wrote seven Harry Potter books that were published in 80 languages. People would line up to get a new book every year or so. I also loved all of the interesting information. Did you know that 500 million copies worldwide? Or did you know that on average kids read Harry Potter when they are 8 years old! Just as anyone else who read the books will say that enchanted them, they wanted to go to school at Hogwarts and have a wand and a bird just like Harry Potter. That is why the Growing Up With Harry Potter is my favorite article.

My favorite article was “Should You Keep Money You Find”. The reason I like this article is that it is an everyday design that I ask myself and now I can see both sides to keeping the money. One part of this article that stuck out to me was “After all, the person who lost cash might really need it.” The reason it stuck to me was that it shows that maybe someone who really needs the money accidentally left the money and they now can’t have a meal or pay rent. So that is the reason I think it is good thing to give it back because it may happen to you and you don’t want to lose money. I also think that if you do something good something good will happen to you.

My favorite article is “Kid Spotlight, Save The Library” by Jakari Singleton, an 11 year old child from Monroe, Washington. This article is my favorite because it involves saving a school library which is a fun place for kids who like to read but don’t have books.A quote from the article is “Stand up for what you believe in. There is always a chance you can make a difference.” I believe this means that if you you believe in anything then you should push yourself and you can make a difference.

My favorite article is “The Nose Knows”. This is my favorite article because all the things an elephant’s nose can do is so fascinating, like it can pick up things as small as a coin or carry things as heavy as 600 pounds! I really like the comparison they make when they demonstrate how an elephant can choose the better of two foods by sniffing out differences in the two foods. “‘Think of chocolate versus brussels sprouts,’ says Melissa Schmitt, who led the study.” This quote means that the elephant’s options for foods are like brussel sprouts and chocolate, with chocolate being the better option that the elephant will go after.

My favorite article was "Growing Up With Harry Potter" by Chrisanne Grise. This article was my favorite because I have always been a fan of the Harry Potter series. It was also interesting to find out that they are made in 80 different languages. one part that I really liked was this "When I first met Harry, we were both eleven years old. as I got older I noticed he was dealing with the same issues I was." I liked this part because I find it interesting that she was dealing with the same issues that Harry potter was.

My favorite article is ¨Should You Keep Money You Find?¨ I like this article because it shows two different sides and real people with their opinion. Personally I don't think you should keep money you find. Like Alexis Burt says, ¨...The person who lost the cash might really need it.¨ I think that if you are at Walmart you should turn it into an employee, or if you are at school you should turn it into the staff or teacher!

I liked the article “Should You Keep Money You Find?” I liked the article because in the article it says “Last year, fifth-grader Eric Hillsman spotted a $20 bill near a water fountain in his school. He picked up the money and took it to his teacher.” I think that was smart of him because he turned in something that was not his. It also says that the teacher contacted the other staff members and got it back to the original owner. It was nice of Eric to turn that in because what if the original owner needed that for something very important? Good thing Eric did the nice thing to do.
